Clinical Interests
I am thrilled to announce that I have matched with my top choice program for my clinical psychology doctoral internship at the University of Arizona for the 2024-2025 internship year! While at the University of Arizona, I will be expanding my knowledge and clinical skills with adapting evidence-based treatments to better serve Native, migrant, and other underserved and minoritized populations.
I am interested in trauma- and culturally-informed interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Radical Healing, to improve psychological and physical health outcomes for minoritized and historically underrepresented/served populations.
I am well-trained in CBT and DBT techniques, and I have worked with a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings, such as state psychiatric facilities, academic medical centers, and community mental health centers.
It is my hope to continue to expand my clinical experiences by working with diverse populations and to learn how to adapt and develop evidence-based treatments to best serve diverse populations’ unique needs. I am also interested in learning or adapting evidence-based treatments for health conditions disproportionately shouldered by minority populations, such as substance use disorder and cardiovascular diseases.
